Alien Derelict Spacecraft
A large horseshoe-shaped Alien craft the crew of the Nostromo encounters when they respond to what they interpret as a distress call from the planet LV 426. Upon exploration of the ship, the crew finds that its interior more closely resembles that of the inside of a creature than a machine. Even the Pilot appears to have "grown" from the chair. When Kane is lowered into a tunnel inside the ship, he finds a nest of Eggs and is attacked by the Facehugger that is brought back to the Nostromo.

USM Auriga
Medical Research Vessel
United Systems Military
Standing Crew: 42 enlisted, 7 Science Officers
The USM Auriga is the ship used to conduct Alien/human hybrid experiments. It is 12,000 feet long and its most dominant texture is that of the grated steel floor and ceiling panels used often by the Aliens to attack their prey. Once the Aliens break loose, most of the Marines on board are able to escape using the Auriga's small lifeboats. The ship contains laboratories, observation rooms, holding chambers for the Aliens, and a large waste tank which becomes the domain of the Alien Queen

USM Auriga Life Pod
Crew: 8
During emergency evacuations these tiny pods are launched with their crew strapped into chairs. They do not have any cryo-sleep chambers and so recovery must be made within a short time. For this reason they are only used inside the Inner Core systems.

Betty
Commercial Freighter
Standing Crew: 6
Unregistered
The Betty is an anamorphic, insect-like ship with mechanical engine wings and tail components that enable final positioning for electromagnetic attachments in the docking bay of the Auriga. It is a retrofitted ship operated by a group of smugglers who are commissioned to kidnap a group of technicians from another ship during their cryo-sleep and bring them to the USM Auriga.

UD4L Dropship
Crew: Pilot and Weapons Officer
Length: 25.18m
Height: 6.05m
Wingspan: 12.59m
Weight: 18,620kg; 34,630kg Max
The Dropship is an aerospace capable ship and tactical transport that can lift heavy payloads up to 16,000 kg. It can attain orbit under its own power from unprepared landing sites because of its vertical take-off (VTAL) capability, which makes it more flexible than other craft. The Dropship can also operate as a close-support gunship by using its own internal gun and deploying weapons pods and hardpoints for rockets and missiles.

Cargo Rig
Combined cargo and towing vessel
Weight: 63,000 metric tons
The Nostromo was refitted as a commercial towing vehicle and has been used to run automated ore and oil refineries between the Sol system and Beta II Reticuli.

Nostromo
Crew: 7
Ship's flight and autonomic functions are monitored by 'Mother', a 2.1 terabyte intelligent mainframe. There is a 2.0 terabyte backup mainframe in case of a CPU failure, plus a third tier of automatics capable of sustaining autonomic functions. It is capable of parking and detaching from its load and is rated for orbital flight. It is used by the crew to travel from orbit to the surface of the planet Acheron where they find the Derelict Ship.

Narcissus
Crew: 3
An intersetllar shuttle used as the Captain’s yacht and Dallas’ haven from the stresses of work. It was also used by Ripley to escape when the Nostromo self destructed. It is not designed as an escape ship, rather a small craft for times when the Narcissus is inappropriate. It does contain three cryosleep chambers though, but not any efficient distress beacons.

Sulaco
Military ship that carried the Marines to LV 426. It carried 2 UD4L Dropship and accompanying APC’s, as well as hypersleep chambers for at least 10 Marines and three command staff including one synthetic as standard for any cruise.

Sulaco EEV
Passenger Capacity: 5
Length: 13.2m with an L-shaped wedge configuration
Range: 1.4 parsecs
EEVs are kept on a permanent 30 second standby. When prepared for launch, the crew's hypersleep capsules are moved via transport tubes to the escape hatches where they are loaded into the EEV. Once the capsules are secure and hooked up to the life support system, the EEV initiates its launch program. The entire evacuation procedure takes 45 seconds. Once clear of the mother ship, the EEV turns on its distress and locator beacon and scans the immediate sector of space for a habitable landing site. The crew is kept in hibernation because of the EEV's limited life support capacity and will be awakened by the computer when rescue is imminent.
