Alien 2116. The crew of the cargo ship Nostromo land on an unexplored planet to investigate an unidentified radio signal. They find a Derelict Alien ship with a cargo hold full of Eggs. The first officer is near one when it opens and the creature inside breaks through his visor and wraps around his face. He is brought back aboard the ship where the crew try to remove the organism from their unconscious comrade only to find it has acid for blood. Suddenly the creature drops dead and the first officer seems to recover, only to have his chest burst open a short while later as the tiny Alien that had been incubating inside escaped. In a mater of hours it was as big as a man and covered in a tough silicon skin. The crew tried to destroy it only to find that their science officer was a Company Operative who had been sent with the ship specifically to recover the Alien for their bio-weapons division. The ship and all but one of the crew and her cat are lost before the creature is destroyed. [FOX]
Aliens 2173. The Narcissus, the escape ship with Lt Elaine Ripley, the pilot of the Nostromo, is discovered. She is horrified to find that there is a colony of 247 families have established themselves on LV 426, the world on which the Derelict is located. When contact with the colony is lost, one corporate executive believes her and arranges a team of Marines to storm the facility to rescue the colonists. When they arrive they find a single girl survivor in a wrecked colony. They then find the main reactor has been covered in organic residue making it look like the inside of a living thing. All the colonists are there, with their chests burst open. Suddenly the Marines are ambushed and have to fire wildly to get out. Only three do, as well as Ripley, the Company man, the unconscious Marine commander, and the Company Android. They find their drop ship destroyed and it will be 17 days before they are rescued. Add to that the fact the reactors are now over heating after the shoot out. As a final blow Ripley finds it was Carter Burke, the company man, who ordered the colonists to go and explore the Derelict in the first place. He tries to kill Newt and Ripley, but fails. The Marines try to get out but in the process all but Lt Hicks, Ripley, Newt the girl and Bishop the Android are killed. At the last minute Newt is lost and Hicks badly hurt. Ripley goes to get her, single handedly facing the giant Queen Alien. She rescues the girl and just gets aboard the second drop ship before the whole reactor explodes, only to find when they get to the Mother ship that the Queen Alien has been clinging to the outside of the drop ship too. Ripley finally manages to pump the beast into space, but not before it cuts bishop in half. [FOX]
Comics A large amount of comics were published at this point and spawned a cult industry onto themselves. Since the later movies contradicted some of the more extravagant claims made by them, they are not considered to be part of this time line.
Alien3 2173. While in hypersleep the four survivors of LV 426 are unaware that the Queen deposited two Eggs on the outside of the drop ship as well. One enters the cryogenic tube of one of the sleepers and in doing so starts a fire and the tubes are ejected in an emergency escape pod. In the crash The wall of the EEV collapses killing Hicks, and the canister of Newt is breach filling with sea water and drowning the girl. Bishop is also damaged, and it is only Ripley who wakes to find they have crashed on Fiorina "Fury" 131. Fury is a prison for male convicts with life sentences of hard labour. Her presence is a threat to the normal running of the prison. Ripley finds evidence on the salvaged EEV of a "Face hugger". She convinces the Medic to do an autopsy and burn the bodies. Nothing is found however and unknown to Ripley a second hugger has infected the colony mascot, a dog, who is killed as the thing emerges in the normal fashion. Prisoners start to go missing and Ripley comes face to face with the Alien who doesn’t kill her. The doctor and superintendent are killed leaving Ripley and a man with an IQ of 86 to convince Dylan, the religious rapist and murderer to rally the convicts to kill the Alien before it kills them. In the process all but convict Morse and Ripley are killed. Meanwhile, behind their backs 86 has contacted the company who have sent an emergency evacuation team because they know it is Ripley who has the Alien in her chest all this time. When they arrive, Ripley realises that she can not go with them since they will want to study the Alien and turn it into a weapon. She kills herself and the last Alien. [FOX]
The Alien PBEM Game 2216. Convict Morse releases a book detailing his experiences and those told to him by Ripley of the Alien. It is published by an independent company. Morse disappears, the publisher is bought out by Wayland Yutani and the book retracted, but a salvage team goes to LV 426 and finds collaborative evidence. Suddenly it is popular to publish books on cover ups done by the Company. The public opinion that has carried Wayland Yutani for nearly 200 years begins to fail, and the government starts to detach itself from direct support of the Company. Then the Salvage vessel in question is found with it’s crew dead and cargo stolen by pirates. The empty hold shows the same organic signs of Alien infestation and it is realised that an undetermined number of Eggs have been taken. Wayland Yutani refuses to admit they are real, The Government wants to hush the whole thing so as not to cause panic, but the military want the weapon, and other companies want them as a black mail tool against Wayland Yutani. The only thing that is certain is that somewhere a very volatile cargo is being transported and maybe opened. An infestation is only a matter of time.
Aliens Resurrection 2373. Years later the company has collapsed and Ripley is cloned from some skin tissue by the military who wish to use the Alien as a weapon. The process is not entirely successful, as the first seven attempt to clone her are unviable. The military commander employs a group of pirates who high jack sleeping colonists to be impregnated. They stumble across clone 8, a Ripley who has acidic blood and killer instincts. Call, one of the crew recognises the name and realises what the military must be doing. She tries to sneak in and kill Ripley, only to find that the Alien Queen has already been taken out and that the Aliens have been made and held in chambers. Of course they escape and rapidly kill almost all the military personnel. The Pirates try to make it back to their ship, but in the process they must set the ship to crash full tilt into Earth to stop the deadly cargo surviving. Along the journey they find the last of the impregnated colonists and one of the soldiers who they try and take with them. They also find that Call is an android and, as all androids are outlawed now, is even more wanted than they are. Add to that they are trailed by a new breed of Alien that is born live, instead of by an Egg and as likely to kill Aliens as humans. When the pirate ship launches it has stowed aboard and in a final showdown Ripley must destroy the last of the breed to which she is now in some way permanently linked. [FOX]
