Alligences 1 – Rude Awakenings1

Jared hadn’t felt this bad since… since… well it was entirely possible that Jared had never felt this bad. He wondered again if living indefinitely was worth it when it could leave you feeling like this. Surely there were times when death was a preferred place to be.
He sighed. This too shall pass.
He rolled on his side and let it pass out of his stomach onto the floor.
Hay'legh struggled to get out of the way, but with her feet and ankles bound it was hard to move. Who ever had tied her and taken her gear had been very thorough. Even her secret ‘Trick’ tool were gone. That meant someone had done an uncomfortably thorough search of her body while she had been unconscious.
She looked around the Cargo bay they were in. It was empty apart form a few sealed crates. Although their equipment had been taken, she and Jared were unhurt. There was no sign of Tell.
She could tell by the vibrations through the floor that she was on a ship and it was moving at high Warp. The only lighting was a single panel fixed to the high ceiling, just beyond her reach. The main cargo access was a large door on one side but there was a second door on the opposite side which allowed a person access to the rest of the ship. This door opened now, allowing Leah, now dressed in regular ship attire, through with plates of food. No cutlery, Hay’legh noticed.
Leah glanced around as the door to the cargo bay slid open with a rustic screech. The light flickered ever so often and she found the two sprawled out along the deck.
“Breakfast” Leah said simply and half dropped, half slid the food dishes to each of them.
She watched them for a moment and knew they wouldn’t be good for many words for a bit. She wasn’t particularly fond of the extra “cargo” they had brought on the ship. These three where the reason she couldn’t get away from the captain’s eye and probably lost her the one chance she had to get far from this place for at least another few weeks.
Leah half leaned back against one of the cargo containers crossing her arms and legs and just looking at the two as they first became vaguely aware of where they where.
“Don’t worry about your friend she isn’t here, probably getting better treatment than the lot of you will receive, for the moment. You might as well try to eat and save your strength, nothing much you can do.”
Leah stood and started to pace glancing sidelong to them.
“Your engineer Tell there must have really struck a nerve with the captain a while back, isn’t much profit in this considering the lot of you would hardly make a trip to the Orion Syndicate worth it for what we would get for you there.” She stated with a rather neutral and dull tone in her voice.
Shifting her stance Leah walked back the path she had just taken across the cargo deck.
“So since we are all in this for a while I might as well find out about that ship of yours, not everyday a Klingon ship has the likes of you aboard. If you are lucky we might even be able to contact your captain for a ransom” Leah smiled softly and looked expectantly to them both.
The Rihan just stared at the woman and said nothing. And she left the meal untouched. The slop looked worse than what the TiQ had just vacated from his belly and with her hands bound, it was not like she could eat it anyway.
Jared sat up, feeling woozy. He looked at the food.
"Is there some sort of ironic torture thing in having food there and no hands free to eat it with? Or is pulling our face in the plate just part of the prisoner experience?"
Leah smiled to Jared "You should give me more credit than that, you aren't going to eat that anymore than you would willingly stay bound. The truth is I need you both just as much as you need me at the moment. See I was in the process of skipping ship when your friend Tell caused me to be under close watch. Since I can't very well go far now we have a common enemy that needs to be taken care of.. Captain Gerrat Jones."
Leah slipped out a key chip out of her boot showing it to them. "Now this should unlock your restraints, I will have a guard come in to check on you both in exactly ten minutes, be sure to be in position to suprise him. Once you get out make a right and continue your way to the bridge. I will make sure the captain is there for you."
Leah dropped the security chip not to far from them and quickly slipped out the door mentioning for the guard to check on them in ten minutes.
Leah smiled to herself as she headed toward the bridge and activated her comlink "Captain this is Leah, requesting your presence on the bridge." It really didn't matter if the captives succeeded or failed, by the time the captain new what happened Leah would have Tell in hand and have her ticket off the ship for good. She made another turn and headed down to Tell's cell.
