DS14 Crossover – Watching your arse
by Soghla' Marie St. Helene & Soghla' Terri (Tell) Hope
OOC: Tell tells Marie that the FHew is going to help out DS14. I have put it here because Marie and Tell aren't listed as authors on DS14 yet and I don't know how you want to do that. At least having it here we can work on it until we can copy it to DS14.
OOC:J: You could always add the ship and crew on there if you would like to.
Tell was filing her nails down on her left hand which made it easier to play the violin. But she kept her nails longer on her right hand to play a new instrument she had picked up on her last shore leave. A Karolynne Guitar which sounded sweet and pure from it's everlasting strings made from the whiskers of some animal or other, she couldn't remember which.
"Have you heard the latest news Marie?. Were going on a trip to a nice little s[ace station and...."
“We’re doing what?” Marie asked.
Tell inspected her nails, satified that they were the right length and wouldn't interfere with her engineering duties she placed the file in her pocket. "Yeah DS14 the Captain called it."
“DS14...that’s a Fed designation. Why is ‘Ro taking us to a Fed base?”
"Because it's a space station duh. Why else would we go there?"
“No, Tell, I got that. I mean.... What does ‘Ro think he’s doing helping out the Feds?”
"The Cap'n hasn't said." Tell replied "So I wonder what up, must be something otherwise we wouldn't be going there. No doubt he will tell us soon."
“I hope they don’t have any record of that outstanding warrant,” Marie mused.
Tell was tempted to add a sarcastic remark of "Just one?" but it wasn't the right time so she let her speak.
“It was before I knew you...before I joined the FHew. I was on Cestus III with no position and no money, so I did what anyone would do in such a situation; I stole what I needed. It was only a small job, organised with someone I thought I could trust; someone who assured me he’d keep a watch on my arse. That’s exactly what he did. I was climbing down a drainpipe when I was spotted and had to go scrambling back up again. He’d been watching my arse alright: watching all too intently. So intently that he hadn’t noticed the Fed cops creeping up. I got away over the rooftops but he sang to the cops. He gave them a detailed description which soon appeared on wanted posters all over the place. I was lucky to get off the planet and only after lying low for several months.”
"Perhaps they might have forgotten, after all it was quite a while ago. So what did you take?"
“Not likely. Authorities on Cestus III don’t take kindly to off-world thieves. Their own they tolerate but off-worlders.... Mind you, I suppose I came out of it alright,” Marie added with a sly smile. “I pinched a small statue. Easy enough to smuggle out when the heat died down and I got a lot of money for it from a Ferengi trader.”
Tells interest was more than piqued so she leaned closer to hear more. "So was it rare or something? Have you still got it?"
“It was a rare item in the Marauder Mo action figure line: Dilb the Destitute. Importantly, it was still in its original packaging.”
"Wow, Dilb the Destitute. Can't say I have ever heard of it. Now if it was one of the Marvel Avengers - Thor for instance - still in the original packaging, of course, I wouldn't mind that for myself."
