Michelle Waugh stood fuming by the command chair. “See if we have ship to ship comms. I want to talk to the bastards!”

There was a red shimmer in the air and the four Klingons arived on the bridge, weapons drawn, just next to the Captain's Ready Room door.

The Bridge was a mess. Damaged panels, burst conduits, injured crew. Only five people remained at their posts. Ensign Thistlethwaite at Ops threw himself to the floor, while Ensign Wright at Helm just looked surprised. The Vulcan, Ensign T'enya, had her back turned monitoring damage reports.

The woman by the Captain's chair spun around at the sound of the foreign transporter beam, her hand automatically hovered over the chairs command PADD. "What the-"

Lt Fenex Agriv, however was expecting them.

"Intruder Alert!" He bellowed pulling his Type 2 Phaser and leveling it at the Klingons.

Michelle's fingers tapped at the console, activating the alert to go to the rest of the ship. If there were Klingon's here then there was a good chance there would be others beamed elsewhere on board.

HoS, with impeccable speed and agility for a Klingon, stood his ground between the Ferengi and Ro', his blade drawn and outstretched before him. With his other hand he aimed his disruptor directly at the woman sitting in the captain's chair.

"Shoot me, ghargh, and I shoot her. Simple as that." And for good measure, HoS fired a shot at the Ferengi's leg.

Fenex was fast, and had the advantage of partial cover from the tactical station. He leapt to the side, and came up in a roll firing. One of the Klingons staggered back and fell. Ensign Wright tried to stand and pull a phaser but was shot down by HoS. HIchop moved quickly to cover the cowering Ops Ensign.

Ro' strode quickly across the bridge to face Waugh. He did not point his weapon at her but bellowed, "TIBaHbe'! Hold your fire, all of you!"

Michelle stood her ground. "What the Hell are you doing on my ship?" She seethed.

Ro' Looked down at the woman, "You are not Cpatain Rayne. Either you have killed him or he is no longer fit to be in command of this vessel. In either case I demand your immediate and unconditional surrender."

Michelle glared up at the Klingon. "You have no right to demand anything. You have attacked a Federation ship and I will NOT surrender her without a fight."

"It seems you have little choice. Your ship is adrift, her shields are failing, her weapons exhausted, and I have a fully functional Battle Cruiser, sitting under cloak, out there ready to destroy you."

There was a beep from the console and Fenex glanced down and said, "Power returned to the phaser array, Commander."

Michelle smiled viciously up at the Klingon Captain. "Not THAT exhausted it seems."

Ro' smiled just as visciously, "And that is supposed to frighten me while I am standing on YOUR bridge? I repeat surrender now and none of your crew will be injured. I will even tow this worthless junk heap to the nearest Federation starbase for repairs."

"Yes, you are standing on MY bridge not your own. You have no authority here mirkamarkarta , you and your people are now my prisoners, charged with unlawfully attacking a Federation starship and committing an act of piracy. Surrender your weapons now and you will not be hurt." Michelle furiously spat up at the Klingon leaning in as close to his face as possible. "There are four of us against three of you...as well as the security detachment that will be answering the intruder alert. - you work out the odds."

Ro's smile never faltered, "I do believe you were trying to frighten me. I think you'll find that your turbo lifts are off line, your security details are moping up injured and your four crewmen are about as much a threat as the rest of your decrepit ship. It is quite obivoue to us that a mutiny is underway here and that you are the ring leader. When we tow this worthless heap of garbage back to a starbase, you can impress them with your posturing.

Ro' tilted his head, "Or are you suggesting that sitting adrift in space, spewing plasma into space is standard Fedration procedure now?"

"How DARE you call this ship a worthless heap of Garbage!" Michelle felt her fists clench with a desire to knock that smug smile off his face. Instead she tried to fight down her anger, the emotion would not help her here, except maybe get them all killed. She wasn't blind to this fact and it galled her that she was caught out like this. She needed to think her way out of this...

Michelle glanced down from the Klingon's face and found herself staring at a Klingon house badge on the man's uniform. It seemed familar and after a few moments of urgent rummaging, she remembered where she had seen it. Michelle breathed silent thanks that she was an avid watcher of the Federation News Service.

"You are of House Matlh?"

Ro's brow furrowed to a deeper frown, "What of it?"

"Did not House Matlh swear an Oath to come to the aid of the Federation when needed?"

Ro' kept her eyes locked on the Human, "We did."

"Then the Arcadia will call upon House Matlh to come to our aid to tow us back to the nearest Federation Starbase."

Ro's eyebrows shot up and he glanced at the others around the bridge. He returned his gaze to the commander, "Even if we were inclined to believe you were acting with full Federation permission, We can not tow you back to anywhere. My ship is not fitted with a Tractor beam and unless you have one spare..."

"We can supply you with a tractor beam and the personnel to help you install it." Michelle did not let her eyes waver from that of the Klingon.

Ro' folded his arms now, "Even with the beam, our water reclaimation system will not be sufficient to handle the additional coolant needs when towing a ship this size."

"That we can supply as well," she replied in a flat voice.

"Plus," Fenex added, his phaser never wavering from HoS, "We could throw in a working replicator. You could use it to fashion new parts if anything burnt out while we travelled."

Ro' looked around the bridge and smiled, "Very well, Commander. If you can prove you are in charge of this ship, and provide the technology discussed, we will tow your scow back to a starbase."

Michelle frowned at the word 'scow' but refrained from biting back. "The only proof I can give you right here and now is the word of my bridge officers that I am who I say I am."

Ro' snorted, "Hardly. If your Captain is unavailable, I will need access to your computer core to verify your identity."

"That I will not allow. But you may watch as Lieutenant Agriv calls up my personnel file for you to verify." Michelle glanced at the Ferengi. "Do we still have access to the Primary Core Lieutenant?"

Fenex, still keeping behind cover of the tactics station, replies, "Aye, Sir. I can access personnel files."

"No, bring up her medical records." Ro' says and then with a sudden swipe slashes the back of Michelle's hand with his knife.

"Hey!" Michelle cries angrily.

"HIchop! DNA Analysis!"

Hichop took the sample and proceeded to check it against the records he had gained from the Federation ship with his Federation Medical Tricoder. It was a relief to have the Federation equipment picked up from Starbase 611 as it meant it was already loaded with the ability to check basic information regarding identity.

Accepting his medical officer's word Ro' nods, "All right, Commander. You have yourself a deal. We already have a Federation Engineer on board, so we will not need your crew to do installations. If you give us coordinates of the machinery we will beam it aboard and contact you when it is in place."

"I demand that the same DNA analysis is done on yourself as well, Klingon," and she held out her hand for Ro's knife.

Ro' wiped his blade on his pants and then drew it acros his palm. He squeezed his fist til a thin stream of purple fell into her outstretched palm. Then he cleaned his knife again and turned his back on her.

He pulls his communicator out, prefering the hand held devices to the modern pins, "Ro' to Marie. Beam us all back, and standby for cargo transport. Ghojol!"

HoS, still standing at full attention, weapons at the ready, gave a brief smile to Ro' as he turned back to his away team. "We could also ask for the co-ordinates of their torpedos, Captain. They're not using them right now *chuckle*."

Michelle turned and glared at the Klingon. "We can if you like us to...Fenex would like some target practise."

Before Ro' or the others could respond they were encased in the familiar red glow and were suddenly back on the Fhew.

Once back on board the Fhew Hichop turned to the Captian "Sir, Michelle is who she says she is, however this does not confirm her intent. If you would like we could perhaps beam her here to the Fhew and I could inquire as to her true intentions."

Ro' slapped HIchop on the shoulder, "I admire your enthusiasm, but you have an injured crewmen to deal with," he points to teh unconcious Beq, "and there will probably be others from Engineering. HoS you help Marla, Tell and Marie install the water reclaimation system and Tractor beam to our stern."
