Stricken – What is that?

Beq YIghegh turned from the sensor station to HoS who was at Tactical. The Captain’s chair remained empty since it was only the four Beq’s and HoS on the Bridge at the moment.
“I am picking up a faint energy signal bearing 20 mark 70. It could be a vessel, but it is not moving, and the power readings are very low and sporadic.”
HoS did not even glance up from his station. "Move us in range" he ordered Helm.
Ro' had put a command function override on thw Cloak, so HoS couldn't lower it without his or Hay'legh's authority, so he didn't bother. Instead he rerouted the power directly from the EPS past the cloak and into the disruptors and, without a word, he hit the "boom" button on his panel. Then, looking up at the Beq, HoS smiled and said "Oops".
The USS Arcadia was dead in the water. Her port nacelle was ripped completely from its moorings and rarified plasma was flowwing freely into a cloud. The helsman had managed to turn the ship so it faced into the plasma and the navigational defelector was chanelling the plasma away from the ship. Deadly disruptor fire ripped into the cloud, instantly igniting it into a stunning ball of flame. The shock wave threw the Arcadia back crippling her shields.
By now alarms were sounding through the rest of the FHew and people would soon be arriving to ask questions.
