Training Room – Arrival
by HoD Ro' Matlh & Ne' Michelle "Mike" Young
"Lieutenant Young," the young man gave a text book salute, "I am to be your attache for the duration of your stay, Ma'am. Ensign Edwin Marks, Ma'am. Can I take your bag?"
The young cadet who had met her at the transporter pad seemed so swelled with pride and responsibility that Mike was worried he might actually leak. Behind here other the other members of her staff were negotiating with the transporter officer the best way to unload the injured unto the station. She was, effectively, relieved of duty.
Mike looks back wistfully, almost wishing it was still her running all of this. As much as it would be nice to see and do something different, she still enjoyed the hectic-ness that came with running an Olympic-class hospital vessel. She turns to the Ensign and salutes back.
"That would be most helpful, thank you Ensign. Be careful with that bag," Mike points at a medium sized blue duffel, "That has rather fragile medical equipment in it."
Mike picked up her own bag, also checking to make sure her retractable blade was firmly attached to her belt, and making sure her non-retractable blade was well concealed in the duffel she carried.
"Lead the way Ensign."
The Young man hefted the medical case in one arm and led off, "The class are all very excited about today. They say we are going to meet some real Klingon Legends. Talk is the Klingon Captain has Defeated two Galaxy Class and Cheyene in a 50 year old B'rel."
"They have humans on their crew, too. So we are going to find out what it is like from people who actually do this for a living."
Mike felt like it was some sort of royalty visiting as opposed to a small crew of Klingons who happened to be nearby.
"I saw Ambassador Matlh's ship arrive with Admiral Vloc on board. DO you think they are here to test our learning afterwards, sir?"
"Yours possibly. As far as I'm aware I'm staying with the lot that is rocking up for the briefing. Klingon Medicine....now there's an exciting thought." Mike smiles. "So were is this all being held?"
"Holodeck 3, Ma'am," the youth babbled, "Only room big enough to turn into a lecture hall and so easy to clean up afterwards. Also good for showing combat simulations and that kind of thing. This way, Ma'am. The FHew has just docked and the Medical Lecture is due to start in an hour."
