Forgotten Glory – Patience

The cry echoed down the Hospital halls, full of dazed and disoriented staff and patients, "Oh! Code Scarlet! Get me a gurney!"
HIchop was backing away from a nurses station where eh was attracting considerable attention. The nurse pulled a medical device from the wall and did a quick pass over the retreating HIchop. Her face went pale, "You... you're having a cardiac arrest! You need to stop, now, or you'll die, redundant organs or not!"
HIchop felt strong hand grip him and the press of a gurney against his legs. A very human accent spoke in his ears as he fought to stay standing and get free.
"Now, now, Mate. No need to carry on like a childless Chamberlain. You just put your feet up, and let the good doctor put everything right."
HIchop snarled, about to beat the upstart ambulance officer with the heavy metal object he was carrying when he noticed the face of the Medic he was with.
It was Germite.
"That's right," The human continued winking at him, "You just lie down like you were told and we'll have you out of danger in faster than a goanna on sand. Strewth!"
HIchop's chest was a gaping wound. While it did not seem to be leaking blood freely, there did seem to be a very good chance that HIchop was already dead and just hadn't stopped long enough to notice.
HIchop was struggling to keep up the feeling of anger he was trying to present. Seeing Germite gave him an out and so he faked a collapse.
"Yes," he muttered. "I better lie down."
The Human ambulance driver threw a blanket over him, "Right, Doc. I'll push, you operate."
With that the trio began to make their way back through the hospital to where the ambulance was parked.
Germite looked down as he tended to HIchop's wounds. As he expected, the gaping hole was a clever prosthetic, with some internal electronics to fool simple scans. "What is our mission?"
Hichop just started to put everything together as they loaded him onto the ambulence. No one in the hospital had their head screwed on properly. Initially when the patients started yelling he thought it was due to trauma but when the nurses at their station seemed startled by his arrival he knew something was up.
"Given I am holding a transporter relay and those weapons behind you, I suspect we are hear to kill people. Given that building, I am guessing it is someone from the Corporation. Given you are also asking the same question I am asking, I am guessing you can't remember either. I suggest we scan for other team members. We need to know where everyone is so we can act when needed."
