In the belly of the Whale – Easy to swallow
by HoD Ro' Matlh
There was a puff of gas as the airlock emptied. The Baj-ass was unable to maintain a grasp on the inner lock and was pulled into the vacuum of space. His flailing body floated on the monitor as the majority of the crew watched with satisfaction from the Bridge stations.
No one could anticipate what happened next.
With a soft whirr a D'deridex B-Type Warbird decloaked momentarily, just long enough to catch the flailing Cardassian a mere 15 meters from the hull of the FHew, and then vanished again.
The Galor class turned and fled. Even undamaged it would be no match for the Romulan giant.
"What now?" one of the Beq asked from the tactical station.
"I suggest," said the quiet voice of the Romulan merchant, "That you can now continue with your mission to take those much needed medical supplies to Morach."
Ro' spun on the spot with murder in his eyes. The Romulan didn't flinch.
"How long has that ship been following us? How long were they there?"
The Romulan shrugged, "I am sure that I don't know, but I suspect, since we have only just crossed into Romulan Territory now, that it had not been following you at all. To do so would be a breach of the Neutral Zone. Now if you'll excuse me, I will retire to the Hold once more. I believe I should get some sleep before we arrive at the colony.”
Mission End!
OOC: Feel free to post logs and private mails (well done Marlar, Marie and Hay’legh for getting started with that). Don’t forget to read the latest news articles.
