Cloak and dagger – March

The Gangway of the FHew was only able to open half way. The Port side landing strut was completely submerged as was the damaged wing end. Brackish murk and mud had sloshed in through a large rent in the side of the hold and the away team stood knee deep in the foul and turgid water. The view through the half open gangway was of a grey sky line, lit by occasional flashes from the battle raging over head.
May'bel's team had scouted the immediate perimeter and stood outside ready to escort the rest of the team who would accompany E to her destination.
Ro's injury meant he could not lead the team, but he stood here as they assembled.
One look outside told Marie she was far better off staying where she was. “I’ll help Tell with repairs,” she offered.
“And I promise to be good,” she added to no-one in particular.
Germite stood next to Ro'. He knew he needed needs to stay behind and tend to the wounded, including the reluctant Captain.
"I'll stay and oversee the repairs" replied Tell "Unless you think otherwise but I don't trust anyone else to do the job." She heard a loud noise behind her and yelled at another so called helper. "How many times do I have to tell you! Use the right tools for the right job." The engineer bellowed commands and then stormed off muttering curses under her breath.
May'Bel glanced around at the dark, sweaty, swampy gloom. Then back at the humans, watching from the rear hatch and showing no interest in going.
He shook his head and nudged one of the marines.
"Humans!" he muttered with a scornful chuckle. "Turn off the air-conditioning and the replicators and they practically curl up and die on the spot."
E stood with the away team. Her form had shifted to that of a Klingon so she filled the HES (Hostile Environment Suit) perfectly.
Ro' stepped forward to address the team, "We have no deadline for delivery, but the longer we stay here the greater the risk of detection. Our wing is buried in the mud for now anyway, so until we can effect engine repairs we are not able to come and get you. Transporters are likewise off line. Those who are remaining, our first job is old fashioned camouflage, so we can divert cloak power elsewhere. I want this ship covered in vines and mud. Then I want minimum structural integrity returned. I want us flight ready ASAP. After that let us focus on the drive issue Jared identified."
"May'bel, the safe delivery of E is your responsibility. Avoid contact with the locals. I don't want our presence known and reported. Most of all I don't want this escalating."
"All right everyone, move out!"
