Tour of Mess
Location: Deck 3
The mess hall is located immediately above the Bridge and is a common room for officers when off duty. Some ration packs are stored here for times when the command section has been separated, but most food is prepared using live ingredients stored in the Larder at the rear of the ship.
On the port side is a Ladder leading to the Bridge’s port access corridor and at the rear is the ladder to the Boom. The galley is in the forward most part of this area and sectioned off to contain escaping food. It is not unknown for potential meals to escape from the galley into the air ducts where they can be very difficult to extract.
In deference to the mixed races present in the crew a Federation food replicator was installed. It is poorly maintained and has a limited supply of meals since most prefer their food not to be re-constituted.
