Allegiances 2 – Tell me!
by HoD Ro' Matlh & Eredh Hay'legh
No one came to Hay'legh's quarters. It wasn't like she had made any friends on this crew, or they had cleaning staff or anything. So when Hay'legh found the giant form of Ro' waiting for her in her room she knew something was serious.
She looked at the Klingon through narrowed eyes as she entered closing the door quickly behind her, though Hay'Legh didn't know why she bothered - if Ro' was going to be yelling the door offered no form of privacy.
Ro' didn't bother with niceties he simply launched straight in, "Who is he? You know this ship and who is in command. Tell me."
"And what would make you think that I know every single Romulan ship and it's commander?" she snapped back, not liking the way Ro' spoke to her. But then Hay'Legh quickly calmed herself, she should not let her smell of the hunt drive away the tools she would need to catch the prey.
Ro' eyes narrowed, "You are a Romulan Tal Shiar. You know how to track a cloaked warbird. How do I find her? Tell me."
Hay'Legh started at Ro' silently. Of course she knew how to track a warbird, but she was not about to reveal that to an outsider, much less a Klingon working for the Federation. She would be a traitor to her own people. But maybe there was a way that they can both get what they want without her having to betray her people.
She drew a breath.
"The Ship is called the Rhai'hlan, under the command of Ghan'la. And I do know how to track his ship. But I will not just reveal my peoples secrets just because you demand it Klingon."
Ro' nodded, "If you had, I would have branded you a trator and killed you where you stood. I have heard of Ghan'la. Quite a powerful political figure I understand? Co-lead a Coup and arranged the death of a number of dissident Senators."
"Try to kill me where I stood Ro', I am not that easy a mark as you well know." Hay'Legh's eyes then suddenly narrowed.
"I can give you the transponder codes for the Rhai'hlan only, but I want to have something in return."
Ro' was surprised, "With the transponder codes we could track the Rhai'hlan even while it was cloaked and on the very edge of long range sensors. That is quite a gift. I am not sure I, or the Federation, have a trade worthy oft he price."
"I want to be the one who takes Ghan'la's life. I want to be the one who makes him draw his last breath, I want him to know it was me who made that happen."
Ro' roared with laughter, "ToH! Our dark daughter has a taste for blood after all. Good! We shall remain cloaked while we track here. Both ships must have shields down while we are cloaked, unless there has been a massive advance in Romulan Technology I am unaware of. When we reach transporter range we will beam a raiding party aboard. They may be able to outgun the Fhew, but I will pit any one of my Warriors against their beq'Hom. There is one condition of my own. I want to know why. Before hebleeds to death, use your skills to find out why he shot the Federation shuttle and not at us. There is more going on here than we know, and I don't like that."
"Form a boarding part. Choose your people well. May'bel is a good warrior. Jared will be able to access computer systems. Marla and Tell are both Engineers, but Marla specialises in Cloaking Devices. HIchop is a good interigations officer and a passable warrior. Leah has yet to see much action but is resourceful in a corner. Marie wants a chance at leadership as well. I leave the final decisions up to you. Qapla!"
He clapped her on the shoulder with a resounding slap and left her to her schemes.
