Tour of Bridge
Location: Deck 4
The bridge of the IKC FHew is based heavily upon the bridge of the IKC Hegh'ta (“Redemption II”, ST:TNG). The structure is reinforced to provide additional structural integrity in the case of collision, a common tactic amongst some Klingon Captains.
All the control stations are configurable to serve as any other station. This redundancy has proved vital during skirmishes when a command station is destroyed it is instantly replaceable from another position. Likewise, Klingon Crew are expected to fill multiple rolls if the need arises. If the Helmsman is killed, any crewman may be called on to fill the role.
Normal configuration sees Helm as the standing over the right shoulder of the captain, and Tactics over the left. Navigation and Communications sit at the forward Starboard and Port seat respectively. Engineering, Damage Control and Life Support share the rear stations on the port side, while on the starboard side are Science, Computer Control and Operations.
The rear door leads to the Boom or Neck of the ship. The starboard door leads to a ladder down to the Torpedo Bay and a corridor to the forward Sensor Control Room. The port door leads to a ladder leading up to the Mess and a restricted access corridor to the Cloak room.
