Marie didn’t know who was more shocked – her or the Klingons sitting in the dock. So far, Petri had been as good as his word and, in doing so, had turned the case on its head. He had, indeed, pulled the proverbial rabbit out of the hat.
Now all she had to do was come up with his fee. Then again, the way he was going, there might be a substantial compensation payment in the offing. That should cover expenses. Anyway, the fee was almost worth it as the price of admission to this particular piece of theatre.
